Xylem employees and stakeholders throughout the world have demonstrated their commitment to this mission by playing a critical role in the fight to prevent and control the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
One of the ways that Xylem has provided support is by diverting manufacturing capacity to produce protective shields that will be worn by essential workers, including medical professionals and first responders.
As a business partner of Xylem brands, Wallace Eannace reached out to the First Responder/ Medical community and found that there was an urgent need for these protective face shields at the Mount Sinai Hospital New York, NY. Wallace Eannace’s Jonny Mehr, Account Executive, delivered the first of several shipments of personal protective equipment to the Mount Sinai Hospital. According to Mr. Mehr, “The best way to protect ourselves and slow the spread of Covid-19 is to limit contact with one another. That’s not an option for health care workers; there is not enough PPE to go around. Because of Xylem and Wallace Eannace, I was able to change that for this hospital. Now a few more nurses will have the protective gear they need to keep on working to slow the spread”.
