Working together, a new workforce initiative “‘Power Up Wind, Solar & Renewables’ Career Training Program” will be operated by the United Way of Long Island, funded by the Bank of America, and supported by Wallace Eannace and other great firms.
The workforce development program will lay the foundation and create a pathway for participants to secure careers in the renewable energy industry. It will simultaneously advance economic mobility, as well as help shape the future of employment in our region’s energy sector.
According to Darryl Clark, Sr. VP Wallace Eannace, “our planet needs saving, environmental resources need to be used more efficiently, and in order to achieve this, we need a skilled workforce that understands the challenges and can utilize new skill sets to achieve our goals, including the installation of energy efficient HVAC equipment manufactured by great brands such as: GREE, Panasonic, Lochinvar, and Xylem Inc. Bell & Gossett . We are proud to participate in such a worthwhile program.”
